Dr Mikael Leidenhag
Founder and Director
Mikael is the current director and founder of Digital Inclusion Research Hub, has an MA in Public Policy and Management, MA in Religious Studies, and a PhD in Philosophy of Religion. He has been a researcher at Uppsala University, the University of Edinburgh, Queen’s University Belfast, and is currently an online resource developer at the University of St Andrews. He has previously conducted policy research for several non-profit organisations regarding health-inequalities in vulnerable communities, including issues of digital exclusion.
Dhuha Alyousef
Marketing and Communications Officer
Dhuha is currently pursuing a Master’s in Management at the University of Glasgow. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Edinburgh, where she focused on marginalised identities, exploring questions of power and justice in society. With work experience in marketing and communications, and a dissertation on the ethics of digital marketing, she is passionate about using marketing and communications tools for social impact.
Grace Lee
Social Media Officer
Grace is currently an undergraduate student studying BA Digital Media and Culture at King’s College London. She has previously managed social media accounts and is a writer for HerCampus Magazine. She is interested in the social impacts of digital developments and passionate about using social media for education and advocacy.
Yeo Joung Suh
Research Officer
Yeo Joung is currently a policy and campaign officer for the Conscious Advertising Network. She holds an MSc in International Social and Public Policy at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Her professional background includes advocacy and policy roles at international organisations such as Save the Children Korea and the Korean Committee for UNICEF, as well as experience as a researcher at a government-funded research institute in South Korea. Her key interests include online safety, information integrity and inclusion.
William Cherry
Research Officer
William recently completed a Master’s degree in Criminology at the University of Manchester having been awarded a Bachelors in History and Politics at the University of Sheffield. Throughout his studies he focused on qualitative research in to a number of policy areas including social and public health, global security and the effects of language choices on policy outcomes. He has previously conducted research for a national harm reduction and drug checking organisation in relation to his postgraduate dissertation.
Aldo Cisneros
Research Officer
As part of his MSc in Development Management (LSE), Aldo and his team developed an AI Governance Framework and Policy Toolkit for Latin America and the Caribbean for the Interamerican Development Bank (IDB). Moreover, Aldo is a political scientist from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and holds a Professional Certificate in Digital Transformation from the Massachusetts Institute of
Technology (MIT). Aldo has 5 years of experience as an advisor for political and economic affairs
for the South Korean Embassy in Lima where he evaluated bilateral cooperation projects on
matters of e-government, public sector reform, infrastructure and defense. During his time
as an advisor, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) assigned Aldo the S-tier category, the
highest ties for the Korean MOFA personnel and officias.
Isatou Touray
Research Officer
Isatou has a background in mental health nursing from the University of Nottingham and a master’s degree in Global Health and Mental Health from St George’s, University of London. Her academic and professional experience spans NHS mental health services, health policy research, and culturally responsive care. Isatou has a particular interest in how digital exclusion intersects with mental health, migration, and socioeconomic inequality. Her work is driven by a commitment to equity, accessibility, and improving systemic outcomes for underserved communities.
